To ArtFire...or Not to ArtFire

ArtFire is running an awesome deal...and I am wavering on whether I should open up a shop there.  I would love to be totally off ebay one day.

I really like the set up on ArtFire and I really like their thinking.  They don't mind if you link any of your other shops to your store.  But the main question is...Does anybody shop there?  I haven't yet.  But during the Christmas shopping season, I am going to take a look around.

If you do have a shop there...what do you think of it?

  3. I have had a shop on Artfire since they started. I opted in on the $5.95 /month deal that they recently did. I have not worked the shop and therefore really haven't had any sales. I thought that the $5.95 deal was well worth all they offer. Most times my products are loaded up quickly into google when I list in Artfire, sometimes within just minutes! Just having another link out there in google land is worth that to me! I opened two more shops and hope to work at getting some things in there this time around. Artfire focuses on getting your items out in Google Base and in The Find. Etsy seems to draw the traffic to Etsy. I think most people who shop Artfire are people hunting for items on Google product search. I really love their PRO features and find the staff to be very informative. You can cancel at anytime if you decide you don't like it. To me it is worth the try at least.

  4. I just opened a shop on Ruby Plaza, (Ruby Lane's new sister site, open to more than vintage & antiques) as they have a fall sale too, $9 per month thru December 31...after that it's $40 so I'm hoping it pays off!

Hope Artfire works out for you...

  5. Thanks for the input GM.

SLV..I ended up deciding to opt in the fabulous deal that ArtFire was offering. My deciding factor was the submission of the items in google base and the find. The pro features truly are amazing! I'll see how it goes.

Susabella...good luck on the Plaza! I did look at that one too.

Maybe one day, I'll just do my own website. :-)
